1979 established three school friends in England, namely, Andrew Fletcher, Martin Gore and Vince Clarke a band. The name was initially "Composition of Sound", but this was later renamed and according to a French fashion magazine called "Depeche Mode". Dave Gahan was still added as a singer and was now part of the band. First, did not succeed until Daniel Miller of Mute Records UK Label Depeche Mode spotted at a concert.
Thus began in December 1980 for the 4 band members, the first recordings. In 1981 the first album "Speak & Spell" and was sold successfully in England. Shortly thereafter, however, Vince Clark left the band and devoted himself to his own projects, Martin Gore took over his part in Depeche Mode and wrote and kompinierte off as most songs. Beginning of 1982 pushed the keyboardist Alan Wilder, a genius when it comes to electronic audio products to the band. Unusual sound effects underscores the songs composed by Gore, the singer Gahan then reacting accordingly.
The great success was at hand and in 1984 came with the album "Some Great Reward" and the singles released from this "People are People" and "Master and Servant", the worldwide breakthrough and high rankings in the charts. 1995 Alan Wilder left the band and Depeche Mode endured a difficult period characterized by separation rumors of the band and not least by the singer Dave Gahan drug addiction, which nearly cost him his life.
From 2000, it went back uphill, with new energy and created new
albums to date, Depeche Mode's most successful electrical tape, the
world has ever seen, leading to many other bands from the
80-willingly and with a huge fan base on the world. The greatest
success they had with the song "Enjoy the Silence" to the song
"Wrong" from the year 2009.
